Welcome to Retroville! It's 1952!
Ozzie and Harriet had a wonderful run on radio before moving to television. The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet was the brainchild of Ozzie Nelson who played himself in both the radio and television versions. In the radio version, Ozzie was a bandleader. In the tv series he simply "went to the office" as so many tv dads did in the 50's and 60's. We never did find out what kind of office or position he held, but it didn't matter since he spent most of his time in the house or out in the yard.
