Welcome to Retroville! It's 1948!
Chandu the Magician began life on the radio in 1932 on the West Coast. After only a couple of years on the radio, it went off the air. But, when its creator was looking around for another program to air in 1948, he decided to revive Chandu. Chandu the Magician remained on the air until 1950 when it finally went off the air for good.

  • Chandu was the story of Frank Chandler, a American-born mystic who knew the secrets of the Orient. Using his crystal ball and mystical powers, he solved crime (kind of like The Shadow).
