Welcome to Retroville! It's 1947!
In July 1947, Escape joined the summer programming lineup. Similar to its sister program, Suspense!, Escape swiftly became a popular program. However, Escape didn't enjoy the same sponsorship that Suspense! received and was consequently moved around the schedule quite a bit. Despite its constant time-slot changes, it still managed to retain a loyal following throughout its seven-year run.
