On June 3, 1946, The Case Book of Gregory Hood. Lasting only for the summer season, it was rerun at the end of the season, and was revived once for a brief period after many write-ins by fans.

Main Characters:

  • Gregory Hood played by Gale Gordon (1946) and by Elliott Lewis, Jackson Beck, and George Petrie (during its revival)
  • Sandy Taylor, Hood's assistant

Show Concept:

  • The show centered around Gregory Hood, a San Francisco rare items importer who encountered mysteries as he traveled the world looking for new things for his shop.
