Welcome to Retroville! It's 1942!
In 1942, the Cisco Kid made its radio debut. As any child of the 50's or 60's recalls, it was so successful on radio that it entered the television arena in the 50's creating an entire generation of kids who knew the familiar lines, "Oh, Cisco.", "Oh, Pancho."

Main Characters:

  • Cisco Kid played by Jackson Beck in the original episodes and replaced by Jack Mather for later episodes.
  • Pancho, Cisco's sidekick, was played by Louis Soren, Harry Lang, and Mel Blanc during the radio show's run.

Show Concept:

  • A serial drama following the crime fighting antics of Cisco and his sidekick, Pancho. The Cisco Kid was a hard-riding, gun-slinging hero to millions of little boys. His sidekick, Pancho, provided the comic relief in every episode, managing to get himself into jams from which Cisco would rescue him.
